It took me 15 minutes to install and all the tools needed are in the package. Exceeded my expectations in terms of product quality and robustness, no squeaks. The mattress doesn't slide on it. Especially under the bed space, I store a lot of clutter.Put new mattress on this frame.It took way more than 20 minutes to built this if you're doing it by yourself. Overall it's very sturdy for my self. You should get the mattress clip/holder so your bed won't slip off. You don't need a boxspring... but if you still want one get like a 6-10 inch one.
