The reviews are correct about the directions not being very detailed. Having a bit of ingenuity and some extra hands does help, though. Assembly was not terribly difficult. It does not seem to be as sturdy as I had hoped for. I don’t think that I want any larger kids climbing around on it. Once it’s assembled, it’s not easily moved. This was on carpet. I’m sure a bare floor would allow it to slide easier. The drawers are not impressive. The bigger the drawer, the wobblier it’s is. The bigger drawers should have had two guides on them. We used 8 inch foam mattresses on all three levels. It works well on the trundle, but I don’t think it will store with blankets on it. We just make that one when needed. The real frustrating part was the delivery. It did arrive a couple of days sooner than expected. Which was good. However, when Fed Ex delivered it, it arrived with one box broken open. The driver mentioned that there seemed to be a surge in these heavy bunk bed orders, in the recent past. Which makes you wonder if there was a little frustration on their part that played into the damage. But, that’s just my thought. Things appeared to be in good shape. But, by the time I got to the end, I had two pieces left and missing one. As it turned out, those two extra pieces were actually one piece. The piece that I needed. As you can see in the picture, I was able to complete the assembly and the bed is functional. The damage is visible. I just wonder about the integrity and safety of the bed, with that defect. Again, I don’t think I want any large kids climbing around on it.So far so good, though. It doesn’t get used often. In hindsight, I would look elsewhere. Big Lots has a bunk bed that is priced well and feels very sturdy. I would have had to add a trundle but, it still may have cost less.Good bed once together I like it the boys like itThis is a nice bunk bed set. For the most part it is very sturdy and was easy to put together. I would say that what I paid into this product is what I have received. The kids love it and I love the steps I use it to store their sheets and things like that.My toddler kept asking for a big boy bed, and he was quickly outgrowing his toddler bed, so we were looking for something fun that would provide additional sleeping options for cousin sleepovers and non-floor options for Mama or Papa if nightmares were bad. This bed is perfect. The bed: Arrived in 3 boxes, was a bit cumbersome to put together but anything will be if it has a lot of pieces. My husband and I could follow the directions pretty well. All the pieces were marked but the markings were light, so look closely. The hardware was marked by incorporating little pieces of paper with the coordinating number in each bag--a couple of the bags were a little difficult to determine which piece corresponded with which number, but we were able to figure that out too. The whole unpacking and assembly took approximately 3 hours with 2 adults, plus another 3-4 hours with just 1 adult.Customer service: When we ordered the bed, there was a bit of a shipping delay. The company proactively messaged me to inform me that the package they were going to send did not meet a QC inspection and it happened to be the last package in stock, so they were going to wait until the next shipment arrived and send me a package from that. That was fine for our schedule so I approved that delay (rather than requesting a refund) and we waited. There were some shipping delays which caused the 3 boxes (mentioned above) to arrive separately, but I kept in touch with customer service to let them know what had arrived and they let me know updates on their end. All in all, they were very responsive and very helpful and I do not hold them responsible for the shipping industry.I would definitely recommend this bed and this seller. I think we got a great bed for our son and, despite some delays that were out of their control, the buying experience was very good.Label could be a lot clearer. More details in the instruction would be helpful. If your not use to building things or assembly you could struggle doing installation. Product was sturdy and just what we wanted for kids. This is a very nice looking bed. The instructions were a little unclear and sometimes confusing. It took a few tries for some parts to get right. It does look nice and my girls love it.Seems very sturdy, its really neat and I definately like the color. Good size and shape, fit where I needed it to. Assembling it was pretty straight forward but takes a couple hours, no joke there are a hundred or so screws. Minor workout but you will be shocked as a bead of sweat builds up. I haven't really compared its storage much but it's pretty neat to have it available. One note however I did encounter maybe 2 pieces that where improperly build, misplaced predrilled hole. And I had at least 2 with a staple directly over a hole. I did remove it however and the pieces with disfigured hole placement I simply compensated and ensured the rest was solid and tight. Pretty sure I just forced then screws threw anyways. Reguardless it still came out nice, I myself sometimes crawl onto the top bunk and it's held up no problems. One more note. The support wood isn't by any means refined. So it is a splinter waiting to happen, ypu may want to cover for children with tape or something. I use ductape...
