My first tool box. Did a lot of research and this one fits my Tacoma...I think. There are zero instructions on how to adjust or install anything! Nothing online-nobody answers phone. It’s a shame cause if I could make a few adjustments this would be a keeper. But due to the lack of information, it’s close to being returned. What the heck man?Good box, heavy well built. Film on box that would not come off, called customer service on four occasions zero help or call back.Received with a dent in the corner of the lid. Nothing worked correctly even, screw holes were stripped out and never tightened. Overall terrible experience with a product that has fairly good reviews. The first thing that I noticed about this toolbox is how large it is...this thing is big! I thought that I would be able to use this on a trailer that I have to pull stuff around but it is too wide. No worries there, as it still fit where I had planned as a backup. This is a fairly heavy (but sturdy) toolbox that I like a lot. It is beautiful in most areas but I did notice a couple of drawbacks that I will outline below. It comes with 2 keys (I thought it was just one key at first but it seems whoever packed it didn't do the best job of securing the keys and one of them was in the box and almost got thrown away).Things that I like about it:The outside has the diamond pattern with some substantial grip, if that is something you want/needIt is divided nicely insideGood amount of space inside it to hold just about whatever you might needLove the chrome/shiny look; it's definitely a "looker" on the outsideComes with 2 keys (if you can find them haha)SturdyShould last a long time with proper careMade in the USAHere are the "warts" that I mentioned in my title (otherwise known as "cons" or things that I am not the most fond of about the product):Some of the inside welds are fairly ugly...I am not an expert welder by any means but I feel like there are a few welds that I could've done a lot cleaner and better. Why is this is a big deal? It's not the biggest to me since it is inside and can't be seen easily but if you fork out this much cashish on a toolbox, you want all aspects of it to be close to perfectOverall, I think if you are in the market for one of these, this is not a bad option; provided you don't mind ponying up the cost of admission. This is strong, and well-made, and it should last a long time. It may not look perfect on the inside of mine but it does the job and is way more than capableI purchased this truck box to use in the bed of my 2020 Ford F-150. Unfortunately, I was unable to use it there because my bed liner is too thick to accommodate it. But, with some tweaking, I did the the box to fit in the bed of my 2008 Dodge Ram.The box is very well constructed. As you can see in the pictures, the corners are all double welded. And aluminum used to make the box is definitely good grade. The diamond pattern gives it good strength.I like the way the box is laid out inside with the divided compartments. My old box was just one big space, and anything I put in it tended to roll all around when I was driving. With this box, everything pretty much stays put.My big complaint about this truck bed box…and it’s an important one…is the cheap latch used on it. After working with it and trying for over an hour to adjust it, I can’t get it to latch. Nothing lines up correctly. And there were NO instructions included with my box to gave me any guidance on what to do or who to contact to correct this problem. The box fits nicely in my Dodge, but I can’t honestly use it, because it doesn’t stay closed. And I can’t honestly drive around with it open. I like the look of the box….the construction except for the latching mechanism is great….but it’s useless as it is. Too bas. This is a great looking piece of kit. It locks securely, and can hold whatever you need to carry, from tools to inflatable pool toys! It looks great, it is huge, lots of space for all of your stuff.Absolutely the best crossover box I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Sure it's expensive, but high quality, well made things usually are. The welds are perfect and look great. I like the stainless steel key locks that are on both sides of the box instead of the center where you can't reach from outside the truck. Super easy to install but make sure it's not easy to remove or some jealous person may decide to unbolt it one evening while it sits in your driveway. Definitely worth saving up for instead of buying something from Depot or Tractor Supply.Husband absolutely loved it! Beautiful finish and welds. Strong and sturdy aluminum. The seal is very good and his tools were dry each time after it rained. Great quality hardware, lock, and hydraulics for the soft close and open.
